About The Role

The Head of Partner Sales will be vital in incubating, developing, and driving our partner field sales strategy. We expect this role will drive revenue by building relationships with partner field sales teams and co-selling with them on related opportunities they identify for Betterment. This individual will build and manage a team and be responsible for the team’s quota, leveraging their experience to help guide each individual to success. Based in New York City, this role will report directly to the VP, Revenue in Betterment at Work’s business segment.

This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. The actual compensation offered will be based on candidate experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees.

  • New York City: $160,000 - $172,500 + Commission

This job is eligible for variable compensation in the form of a commission bonus. For jobs based out of our NYC HQ, we require in office attendance Tuesday through Thursday, weekly.

A day in the life

  • Grow, coach, manage and mentor a team of Partnership Account Executives
  • Develop and motivate a high performing team
  • Build a scalable outbound program in targeted verticals
  • Design and implement the Partner Co-Selling Playbook, including all software tools, messaging and outreach methodologies
  • Lead and evaluate performance metrics, deliver coaching and feedback promptly to keep individuals and team on track
  • Responsible for forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting of team’s revenue and overall performance
  • Ensure effective and consistent use of Salesforce
  • Provide “voice of the client and industry” to marketing and product management to drive roadmaps

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years partnership sales experience working in B2B tech/SaaS sales and payroll/HCM or retirement services
  • 3+ years of experience and strong expertise in co-selling through partner field sales teams
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success with leading front line, quota-carrying team
  • Expertise in the latest prospecting tools and methodologies
  • Curiosity and interest in financial products and retirement planning
  • Demonstrated track record of high performance
  • High energy and willingness to learn
  • Self motivated and adaptable to change
  • Passionate about inspiring and mentoring your team
  • Ability to give and receive feedback - you will collaborate with our sales team to drive process improvements
  • Experience with sales technology stacks like Outreach and Salesforce
  • Strong communication skills
  • National travel expectations of 20-40% of your time

What Happens Next
