What you’ll do

As Commissioned Integrations Product Lead, you will work with leaders in Product and Technology Alliances as well as external development and technology partners to manage the end to end success of our Commissioned Integrations projects. This is a new role to support the Commissioned Integrations team to lead the development of apps and integrations with some of our most strategic technology partners. 

This is a hybrid role which combines elements of product and project management. In this role you will work collaboratively with our Product Management team to design and scope the experience, and bring these products to life. You will manage the third-party development partners that build and manage integrations for Zendesk to ensure we can offer the desired scope, quality, and experience that Zendesk and our customers need. This role requires agile project management duties including project planning, sprint planning and backlog incorporation. In this role you will define the vision and definition of success for our integrations and measurement of product performance. In addition you will coordinate cross-functionally with key Zendesk teams such as Marketing, Communications, and Legal, as well as our technology partners.

Technology Alliances is a global team that leads our technology partner ecosystem and Marketplace. Our technology partners develop apps and integrations that complement and extend Zendesk’s native product capabilities, enabling us to serve a broader set of use cases and thus have a more competitive offering with a larger addressable market. We work cross-functionally with our Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Advocacy and Finance teams to ensure a streamlined and supported experience for our partners and customers. You’ll report to our Program Manager, Commissioned Integrations, who will partner and collaborate with you to provide guidance, feedback and support. We are not into micromanagement, so expect independence in your work, and be willing to share and strategize about program issues, risks and challenges together. What you need to succeed

We’ve found that a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years experience in project and product management at a fast-paced SaaS environment is the most common recipe for success in the Product Lead role at Zendesk. We value experience across a range of disciplines for this role that is supported by a strong foundation of program management best practices. In addition to a solid background in both Agile and traditional delivery methodologies, you also have experience working with the Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence) tool set. You are familiar with supporting a product team, bonus if you have worked on projects managing software development vendors as well. You are exceptionally organized and a master in collaboration and prioritization. You are able to get to the heart of any issues and mobilize the right people to solve them. In addition, you are known for being a facilitator of efficient and productive meetings that people look forward to attending and effective communications and presentations on progress to key stakeholders.

What you bring to the role:

  • ~2+ years of experience in Product Management
  • ~2+ years of experience with Project Management
  • Lead product discovery processes
  • Drive the scoping, development & launch of new products
  • Use data to drive decisions & prioritization
  • Ability to be the face of Zendesk to customers and partners
  • Experience in SaaS environment supporting a product development team
  • Prefer experience using Confluence & Jira as well as Google Suite
  • Understanding of traditional and agile project management methodologies
  • Strong collaboration, planning, and prioritization skills
  • You lead by influence rather than authority, to build trust on your team
  • Good time management & organizational skills
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get things done
  • Ability to follow and positively influence team best practices
